Ries & Jared | Catawba Island Club Wedding | Port Clinton, Ohio | Photography by Meg Miller

I feel beyond blessed to have been a very small part of this special day. Throughout the day Ries kept turning to me and saying, 'I'm just so happy.' I want nothing more for you and your sweet babies, my friend.

This gorgeous day was filled with the best family, amazing flowers, a magnificent sunset, awesome singing, some happy crying, and lots of fun. Congrats to both of you! Cheers to the next chapter!

Chenoweth Rhodes Wedding | Eli and Amy | Elk Rapids, Michigan | Photography by Meg Miller

I know I've said this before, but I'm a people watcher. Ok, ok.... judge away. Not in a creepy way!  I truly love watching people and have ever since I was little. I have vivid memories of sitting on a park bench at Disney World with my mom watching families. Watching their dynamics, their conversations... I find it so very interesting.

After watching Eli and Amy for only a short time, it is evident that they have a very deep love and respect for one another. The more time I spent with their families and friends, I can see why. This is an amazing group of people! Their love, joy and connection runs deep.

Congratulations to both of you!

And thank you so much for including me in your special day. It was perfect in every way.

Hovelson Family Pictures | Fort Wayne, Indiana | Photography by Meg Miller

When a Saturday night consists of beautiful weather, catching up with family, and soaking up their adorable family.... I'd say that's pretty much as good as it gets. I cannot tell you what a treat it was hanging with these amazing people. Feel blessed to call them family and friends. XO

Laurie Sibling Shoot | Photography by Meg Miller | Fort Wayne, IN

So I'm going to be honest with you about something. Many photographers are intimidated by older kids. Silly right? I can honestly say that I have been, too. I'm not sure why we are. I'm not sure what it is about older kids that we find intimidating. Maybe its the cool factor or the teen years in general. It could be the height or heck, I don't know....

BUT I have to say, I LOVE older kids.

I'm telling you-they're awesome!  I love chatting with them-even if they do think I'm a TOTAL dork. I love hearing about their lives, their stories, their hopes and dreams.... it really is an element of the 'job' that I enjoy.

Now enter the Laurie family. Let me tell you folks, these kiddos are a direct reflection of their parents-in all the best ways possible. They each have a great sense of humor, smiles that light up their entire faces, they tell wonderful stories, and, of course, are oh so polite. Needless to say our time together was filled with ALOT of belly laughs, hilarious stories, and a beautiful sunset.

Thank you, Laurie family for trusting me with your precious memories!!  Your sweet children are pretty amazing people!!

Soaking up time with this family is always a pleasure. I could spend all day with wonderful smiles, sweet snuggles and infections giggles. THEN you add in a beautiful backdrop AND an amazing antique car!  Serious recipe for cuteness!

Hopen family, I'm not sure how you do it, but you get cuter each year!  Thanks for always trusting me with your sweet memories!

VanOsdol Newborn Session | Fort Wayne, Indiana | Photography by Meg Miller

There is just something about a house with a newborn. There is a sense of peace, calmness, and pure happiness. Yes, parents are sleepy, laundry isn't put away (newsflash-mine is NEVER totally put away and my 'baby' is 4), but the love is overwhelming when you walk in the door.

I was so grateful to come into this family's home and photograph this special time with sweet baby Rowan. I already knew that Alexa is a wonderful mother-and human.... and now I am convinced that she is a rockstar and both of her adorable boys are VERY blessed to call her momma!
